DHI FACILITATES DANISH STRONGHOLDS AT THE WORLD WATER FORUM IN SOUTH KOREA

The 7th World Water Forum, taking place 12-17 April 2015 in Daegu and Gyeongju, South Korea, is the largest single event in the water sector. Held every three years in cooperation with the public and private sectors, academia, and industries, it seeks to facilitate international discussions on global water challenges.

This year’s event focuses on the implementation of solutions to global water problem. As part of the Danish Water Forum, several DHI experts were present at the event to discuss:

  • Integrated urban water management
  • Water efficiency
  • Science and technology

Jørn Rasmussen, our Vice President of Industry, spoke during the session entitled ‘Water and Energy Efficiency for Green Growth’ as well as during the concluding session. In addition, DHI representatives participated in the following sessions:

  • Chinese European Water Platform 
  • Seminar on Decoupling Wastewater Treatment and Energy 
  • Presentation on Grundfos Water Treatment Application 
  • New Wastewater Treatment Paradigms: Reusing and Recovering Resources
  • Research and Development Collaboration

In cooperation with the French Water Partnership, we also facilitated the concluding session on the European process. This session focused on European challenges to water management and presents European solutions to issues like flooding, urban and industrial water efficiency, and improving innovation in the water sector.
