Together with partners from VPP4SGR, Develco Products was busy measuring and carrying out fieldwork among the residents of a 12-story building. The purpose of the activities was to study the extent to which it is possible to change energy behavior through simple information.
Having a guilty conscience about the climate makes us choose to take the stairs instead of the energy-devouring elevator – at least to a certain extent.
Achieving a better balance with fluctuating energy supplies
Develco Products provided the VPP4SGR project with lamps informing about carbon dioxide intensity in order to significantly reduce the use of the elevator in the building.
The elevator experiment was the first of its kind to suggest opportunities for influencing power consumption at such a scale as to achieve a better balance with fluctuating energy supplies.
