Develco Products with cooperation of its partners from VPP4SGR project, has used a new dormitory situated in the heart of Aarhus, as a full scale energy lab.
During the next three years, it will be carried out what seems to be the world's most radical monitoring program. For each one of the dormitory’s 132 apartments, Develco Products has provided devices to monitor temperature, humidity level, CO2 emission as well as water flow, heat and electricity, every sixth second 24 hours a day. This enables access to completely unique data.
The purpose is to develop new technology to make buildings intelligent. Develco Products provides the research project with wireless meter interfaces, door/window sensors, gateways, and smart plugs to make the dormitory a smart energy building. Combining these devices in an IoT solution makes it way easier to keep an eye on the energy consumption and also enables the users to control the energy consumption. Furthermore, Develco Prodcuts also made an elevator trial, where we investigated the potential of affecting people's use of the elevator in accordance with the renewable energy production in the grid.
