DEM (Danish Energy Management) is retrofitting nine public buildings in the State of Melaka in Malaysia

This pilot project will showcase large scale energy efficiency implementation and financing for the public sector in emerging markets.

Nine buildings have been selected for a pilot project to showcase large scale energy efficiency retrofitting of existing buildings. DEM have completed the detailed energy audits which reveals significant energy saving potentials and the buildings are now targeting for implementation of the energy saving measures. DEM and the Danish Climate Investment Fund will invest, finance, and implement the project under an Energy Performance Contract, where the Melaka State Government will repay the investment through the energy cost savings achieved.
