Recycling Stations

ARC operates 15 recycling stations in the capital area. The stations provide the inhabitants with the opportunity to hand over sorted waste for recycling. Recycling is an important part of the Danish waste system.

  • 89 % of the waste handed in at the recycling stations is reused
  • 9 % cannot be recycled and is incinerated and utilised for electricity and district heating
  • 2 % is deposited or specially treated
