New technology helps house-owners overcome climate change

Many people have become acutely aware of the consequences of climate change in recent years, and climate damages are costing both consumers and insurance providers many billions each year.

Several climate researchers from Aarhus University are participating in the process of developing a new computer tool which will make it possible for home-owners and insurance providers to see how the climate change will affect their properties, now and in the future.

The new computer tool is a so-called web-based visualization tool, which shows very clearly the severity of the climate change and how they will affect local areas. With the climate tool, private house-owners will be able to take precautions against climate damages such as flooding before the actual event.
