CSP FRESNEL PROTOTYPE SYSTEM IN FRANCE

Aalborg CSP designed and supplied the steam generating equipment for a prototype CSP system.

Aalborg CSP designed and supplied the steam generating equipment for a prototype CSP system based on Fresnel technology.

FACTS

Location:  France
Status:  Operational

The goal with this prototype facility is to prove that it is possible to produce live steam at 100 bar directly in the solar field. The system circulates water/steam under high pressure in the receiver pipes. The water/steam is constantly heated up by the sunlight, which is being concentrated on the pipes by series of mirrors.

The system is a front-runner for a series of new facilities with this technology, which provides the French population with environmental friendly energy and power.

Scope of supply:

  • Steam drum
  • Condenser / cooler
  • Deaerator / feed water tank, temp. 105°C
  • Safety valves
  • Control valves
  • Manual valves
  • Instrumentation
  • Circulation pump
  • Feed water pump
