North American Universities to learn from solar district heating best practices in Brønderslev

Organized by The Trade Council's District Energy Advisory (DDEA) and DBDH, five North American universities have been on a “Campus Energy Accelerator Academy” in Denmark to learn about Danish district energy. As a key player within the district heating industry, Aalborg CSP welcomed Humber College,  York University, The University of British Columbia, Smith College and University of California, Davis in Brønderslev, the home town of a revolutionary combined heat and power plant.

Here, the technical experts got acquainted with this world-first facility and the way it integrates our concentrated solar technology with biomass and organic rankine cycle to achieve record energy efficiency, lower energy prices and a future-proof solution that is no longer dependent on fluctuating fossil fuel prices.
