The Waste Office is responsible for waste and recyclable management of household waste from all households and industries in the municipality. The office handles annually 80.000 tons waste and employs 40 employees.

The office's key competencies are running material recycling facilities, five resource recovery centers, and managing waste collections systems from the households and industries in the municipality.

In 2013 the waste office was able to meet the waste regulations of the Danish Government and still makes a profit of 1.3 US million.

Randers Municipality is located on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. It is the 7th largest municipality in Denmark and covers an area of 748.21 km². It has a population of 96,559 (1 April 2014). The main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Randers. Along with the city of Randers there are 31 villages.
